New Presenter Noel McDermott joins Mens Radio Station to launch ‘Well-Being Wednesdays with Noel McDermott’

Well-Being Wednesdays with Noel McDermott’ launches on Wednesday 17th of April at 9pm.

Licensed psychotherapist Noel McDermott is hosting a weekly 90-minute show on Men’s Radio Station discussing topical mental health issues. Every week Noel will be joined by an expert guest who will, alongside Noel, produce a show that informs listeners with practical advice and information for improving their own mental health and further the understanding of the mental health of those around them. Part of the show will be dedicated to the audience where listeners will be invited to phone in or send questions by email for discussion and advice.

Launched in January 2019, Men’s Radio Station is an online station specifically dedicated to the topic of Men’s Mental Health. The station was founded by Sony Award winner Russ Kane and Howard Jameson.  Howard is the creator of the acclaimed Jermyn Street Theatre and founder of Women’s Radio Station. Realising that men also require their own platform to discuss their health, Russ and Howard launched Men’s Radio Station to put their skills to use and offer men a forum to learn from and discuss their health.

Noel McDermott is a pioneering health and social care professional with over 25 years of industry experience. He is passionate about bringing high quality care and support to those who are vulnerable. Noel’s areas of expertise include mental health, emotional health and wellbeing, child care, trauma, social care, addiction and recovery, distance therapy, refugees and personal development.

Noel is collaborating with Men’s Radio Station Mental health as he believes men’s mental health continues to be a taboo subject. There is a great deal of focus on men’s physical health but not enough on their emotional, psychological and mental wellbeing, with men still accounting for three-quarters of suicides in the UK. Psychotherapist Noel McDermott believes more education work and specialist outreach should be made available to encourage men to seek help for mental health problems.

Corona Update

This rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed an unsettling, fluid situation upon our community and its businesses. While the team here still aims to maintain a “business as usual” approach, we are making a number of significant changes to our operations to account for a situation that is far from normal.

Along with most broadcasters during this COVID-19 pandemic, we have closed our studios for the Health & Safety of our presenters, producers & guests. All our shows will continue to be on-air, exactly as normal, 24/7 and our mission to offer help in the areas of Mental Health & Well-being  remains undeterred &  unabated.  Our production team & presenters are all now broadcasting from home, so that we can be there for you during this unprecedented & uncertain time. In addition, we have added an extra daily show, 12 noon to 1pm, featuring Russ Kane & Phil Dave. It’s 100% live and so please join us. The studio number is 0203 290 4411 & The Daily Show welcomes your calls & watch party comments. In the meantime, please stay safe, stay home & stay tuned. Thank you.
